The Nike Metcon series fifth model is a more robust and secure choice for your CrossFit workouts and gym time.
Since the birth in 2015, the Metcon series ensures that yout feet would secured and protected during complex and powee demanding exercises - sprint, weight lifting or climbing rope.
Nike Metcon's 4th model, which was greatly appreciated by a number of Nike athletes, among whom the CrossFit Games Champion, Mat Fraser, was very successful. Many of the Nike representatives who tried this model called it a perfect choice for their workouts. For Nike, such feedback was a joy, but at the same time, there was some worries about creating Nike Metcon 5 - how to improve such a great shoes?
One of the main changes is the upper part of the shoes. From now on it is even more versatile and suitable not only for sprinting, but also for lifting weights. The above mentioned Mat Fraser has contributed to this improvement - the front part of the boots has been widened, as the foot fingers naturally spreads when lifting weights, doing squats or other exercises.
The upper part of the shoe is covered with a rubber hexagon pattern. In areas that are most worn, hexagons have an additional filler that ensures durability. This solution will also help in climbing the rope.
Nike focused on Nike Metcon 5-shoe testing for over 9,000 hours, with athletes such as Mat Fraser and Lauren Fisher pushing the maximum boundaries with these shoes.
“I really didn’t think there was much to improve from the Metcon 4. As soon as I got the 5, it became my new favorite,” – Fraser said.
